We believe that faith goes deeper than just listening to a talk on Sunday morning. From Women’s Groups, to Bible Studies, to “Beer, Books and Banter”, we have something for everyone to explore what faith means in the journey of life.

Small Groups

The Wednesday Morning Ladies Group, are 15 ladies (not all from our church), who meet in the Common Room at 170 Trillium Way, beginning September 13th, from 10am to 11:30am. We are prayer warriors who meet for fellowship, to study God’s Word and pray together. This group began about 40 years ago meeting around dining room tables in Members homes. For the next 9 weeks we will be studying, ‘Jesus Our Joy’ using a study guide on the book of Philippians. We have four of us who take turns leading the lessons. Twice a year we meet at Audrey Sherbino’s home for a special time of fellowship and yummy food! If you have any questions or someone would like to contact us, please feel free to email me at storms63@sympatico.ca or call 226-388-0120.

We are a diverse group of believers who come together on Thursday evenings in a home either in Brantford or Paris during the school year. We start with “tea” and chatting for 15 minutes (hence the Kettle). We engage in studies that are typically 4-6 weeks long and this could be a variety of books of the bible, podcasts, video series, or books. We end each week in prayer. We are currently studying Ephesians, and expect this study to take us 6 weeks (5 more to go as of Jan 15). Keith is leading us through reading each chapter, and some engaging questions to dig deeper into this topic.

Our group has three couples and two women, who are widows. The average age of the people in our group is 80 plus but anyone in their 70s looking for the encouragement of being a part of a supportive community would be welcome. We are in a position where we could add one or two people or a couple to our group. We are currently studying Proverbs but in such a way that anyone who joins ouir group would be able to easily join in. We are meeting on the first and third Monday of the month. We start at 2:00 pm and aim for 3:30pm but no later than 4:00pm.

Beginning on Tuesday February 3 we will meet every other week and do a study on who Jesus claimed to be from the Gospel of John. There are seven times Jesus says “I am”…the bread, the light, the way, the truth, etc. It will be a fun study to look at a different “I am” each week. We plan to use a small study book to help us along. We will meet for coffee or tea at 7:00pm, share life and then move into our study. If this idea intrests you, then let us know so we can prepare accordingly. This is an open group so if you know or want to invite others, feel free to do so.
