We believe that faith goes deeper than just listening to a talk on Sunday morning. From Women’s Groups, to Bible Studies, to “Beer, Books and Banter”, we have something for everyone to explore what faith means in the journey of life.

All groups listed below are currently meeting online. Simply email the contact person listed for the small group to get an invite!

Small Groups

The Wednesday Morning Ladies Group, are 15 ladies (not all from our church), who meet in the Common Room at 170 Trillium Way, beginning September 13th, from 10am to 11:30am. We are prayer warriors who meet for fellowship, to study God’s Word and pray together. This group began about 40 years ago meeting around dining room tables in Members homes. For the next 9 weeks we will be studying, ‘Jesus Our Joy’ using a study guide on the book of Philippians. We have four of us who take turns leading the lessons. Twice a year we meet at Audrey Sherbino’s home for a special time of fellowship and yummy food! If you have any questions or someone would like to contact us, please feel free to email me at storms63@sympatico.ca or call 226-388-0120.

You may know most of the Bible stories and on top of that bible study may not be your favourite thing. Yet, Monday nights with Phil will bring new meaning to some of these familiar stories. You’ll be asked to read a few passages as preparation and as a group we will discover new insights. Take for instance king Solomon, who was the wisest king ever, yet he did things very much the opposite of what God expected of him and his deeds led to the division of the nation of Israel. Phil grew up a non-believer and became a Christian in his twenties. He had a career as an engineer and felt called to quit that and go to seminary. He is currently working on his PhD in Old Testament Biblical Studies. He will use the knowledge he gained from this to guide our group work. It’s not a problem if you miss a night, so check it out!

This is a 'try out a small group' to see if it is something you want to get involved in. This group is for those that have questions about faith (no we don’t have the answers…! But together we will explore them and learn from the Bible and one another) No question is out of bounds. All while getting to meet new people. (Led by Elena & Aad)

We meet on Tuesdays at 7pm, September through June at the east end of Brantford (30 Hamilton Avenue). Bruce and Wanda Mann oversee most evenings but also enjoy others in the group taking lead and sharing. You will find that this is a casual, conversational group who love to study scripture or dig into certain topics. So far we have gone through the book of Ephesians, talked about having a purposeful marriage, and how to live our lives with integrity - all with the purpose of growing closer to Jesus and leading others to Him. Anyone is welcome! Please contact us if you are interested or have questions.

Every Thursday from September through the end of May, this group puts on a Kettle at 7:15 and begins a weekly time together in a home in Paris or Brantford. Studies may involve media (DVD, podcast, or book) or may be based on a specific topic. Studies are usually 8 weeks in length, and Keith and Dee take turns in leadership. This is a wonderful time of sharing with one another and learning more about how to live our lives the way Jesus teaches us to through the Bible. We are meeting next Thursday for 3 weeks to finish Fruits of the Spirit. When we meet on the 12th we will discuss which sessions we will do next, but we will start a new one in october which would be a great time for anyone new to join.
