Is this your first time visiting Paris Community Church? Let's see if we can answer the questions you might have. And if your question is not being answered on this page, please feel free to reach out and we'll do our best to get back to you with an answer.

You will find parking across from the church on Grand River Street North. The welcome team is on hand to assist with finding you a spot if need be. The #ForParis Centre has 4 entrances, we recommend you use one of the entrances off Emily Street, as one of them is accessible and it's less climbing than the others.

Coffee is an important part of settling in for the service. It's good quality and free! (and of course there is tea for those that prefer that. If at any time during the service you need refill, feel free to get up and get it.

The service starts at 10:30am with a few songs led by our band and organ. This is followed by prayer and the message. OK, not all Sundays are like that, but it mostly works that way.  In all, the service lasts just over an hour.

If you have kids, we do have a nursery and a kids program. You are welcome to drop your kids (0-4) off in the nursery and you're welcome to stay with them.

Check in older kids at the Kids Check-In stations, this will print them a Name Tag label, so that our Kids Team knows their name, age and any allergies, as well as whether they can be released after the service or whether you want to pick them up from the class room. Kids 4 and up are in the service for the first part of worship and are encouraged to go to their kids programs about 15 minutes into the service. And if your kids want to remain with you for the duration of the service that is fine too!

There is a table with kids supplies (clipboards with drawings), pencils etc at the front on the right hand side, feel free to help yourself and keep your kids entertained.

There really is no dresscode for the service. So whatever you're comfortable in is good. You will see people in shorts and a t-shirt (weather depending) and you'll see (older) people in a suit. Generally, you will see Joel (our pastor) in suit and tie (!) only on Mother's Day (to please his mom!) and at some funerals...

We have an offering plate at one of the entrances of the building. Generally, if you're new to our church, check it out first and see if our church is a place that you want to be at long term. Only then worry about giving back to the church. We have many ways in which those attending support the church and are happy to share those with you when you feel ready.

Every other month, we host a Raw Carrot (a ministry of our church, read more about it here) Mug of Soup luncheon. If you're new and have not participated in this before, we encourage you to join us immediately following the service and sit at the New Here table. Your lunch is on us as we'd love to get to know you a bit.
